This special effect is very cool, they showcase how they make it possible for everything to be very believable to the naked eye. It amaze me how technology goes now a days, unbelievable! They told us some Hollywood secrets during the tour how they make things seems like magic.

A girl from the audience got the chance to demonstrate how they make those special effects in movies:

Amazing isn't it? It's really fun to learn new stuffs especially the one you see in the big screen.

It's always good to share your blessings to those who are less fortunate. I remember way back in High School, we're conducting different fund raising's for the school club, because for whatever amount we collect we get the chance to help a homeless kid and then recently to my work, we conducted a fund raising project to save those babies with birth defects, we are the official sponsor of " March of Dimes ", it's fun though because we got the chance to wear jeans and tennis shoes in exchange of $25 donation. Our themes are baby blue and pink for that, we even have certain products like beanie babies for $6, for every purchase of those beanie babies our company match them up so in short their saving one baby for every beanie baby purchase.

It's really fun to help, as I was browsing the web I ended up in www.schoolpop.com a website that helps you get more school fundraising ideas this time they give %20 for your school for every purchase, so if you shop more your school will get more. How fun, right? www.schoolpop.com made everything fun and exciting, a new way to help and shop at the same time. So, what are you waiting for? JOIN NOW!

During our Studio Tour at Universal Studio, we got the chance to see and experience some special effects that they do on movies. We went to see how they make the special effects in " Backdraft ", I was astonished about everything, I can't believe that I'm seeing it at my very own eyes lol.

We got a little summary as we enter the room and one by one they introduce to us those itty bitty special effect until we reached the finale, which I did not expect lol. It was fun though, got the chance to video taped it here's what happened.

...... We are exposed to a terrifying display as a warehouse becomes an inferno in a thrilling recreation of the movie, W had a blast even though my heart stop beating for a sec lol.

I told W, that I'll frame it para todo hang sa Wall of fame davah? lol He love it so, that's good or else baka maimbyerna lang ako pagnginarte pa sya since that piece of paper cost me $18, pwede na rin since the guy really did a good job!

2 medium potatoes
1 cup of sweet peas

1 can of Hunts tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp of fish sauce ( optional )
1 pinch of black pepper
1 cloves of garlic
2 kilo of pork
1/2 pc of slice onions

  • cut pork into cubes then cook it for 10-15 mins
  • drain the pork juice then set aside for a while
  • pour some oil in the pan sautéed garlic and onions
  • add cooked pork in the pan
  • pour Hunts tomato sauce, cover it for 15 mins
  • add salt n' pepper to taste
  • add the fish sauce ( I usually add fish sauce since mas malasa )
  • add potatoes, simmer for a while until potatoes are cooked

Our trip to CA is a blast! W, really had fun and he can't wait to go back. Hubby is so thrilled that he mostly did whatever he wants in there, all our plans fall into place so ok yun hehe! We only stayed there for a very short span of time but still everyday is worth it, kahit mejo kakapgod cge gala pa rin lol. My first time to be there I did not had enough time to roam around downtown but this time I make it appoint na I'll go to places that I failed to visit the first time, by hook or by crook ika nga! But so far so good, thanks to Les and my godmom that made everything possible lol.

On our first day, we had dinner at my godmom's house, my relative is already there waiting for us and my ninong just picked us up at the airport. This time I never had problems claiming my baggage since I don't have any choice but to check it in since dami kong rikotitos sa bag ko lol. kakasora nga eh anyways we had our dinner after that mega call nako agad kay Les, because we planned to go to starbucks lol parang good old days too bad Beka is not with us lol. Actually, after our arrival airport pa lang my bag broke lol sa sobrang bigat ba naman putting all my crap in my purse then same night me and Les, roam around San Diego to look for a bag for me to use since we're going to LA the next day unfortunately all the shop is closed lol. Thank God, my mommy is super nice she gave me $ to buy for a purse but don't have time to buy one the next day since we left early so my godmom lend me her backpack but when we arrived from LA my mommy already bought me a purse whoa! nakakickback pako davah?Lmao ang saya saya lol, pagsinuswerte ka nga naman hehe.

2nd day, early morning I'm so excited since we're heading to Los Angeles, Ca since we're going to Universal Studio! I'm so excited to see LA but everything changed since I experienced the traffic sus me carsick talaga ako lmao! It took us forever bago makarating kakasora talaga! Lalo ata akong nacarsick nung nglalaro kami ng games while on our way there sus me, grabe talaga! I always ask them nga " Are we there yet?!! ", hahaha kase ba naman 10 years bago dumating lol kaya eto on our way there been taking pictures left and right kahit walang sense lol hala pix pa rin ako lol.

So finally, after 10 long years nakarating din sa wakas lol at here's some of the snapshots that I got:

We are in Hollywood Dr hehehe FINALLY!!!

Then yung 2 bugoy planned to ride sa Jurassic Park, they even invited me but I turned down the offer lol I was about to join them but when I found out about this ride, I changed my mind!

Imagine 84 feet drop ba naman yung water rides nila, NO THANKS! I prefer to LIVE!!! lol

At anung say nyo si Marilyn Monroe folks lol driving her pink car lol. At first akala ko kung ano na aba eksena ang beauty nya hahaha!

We went to see Shrek & Fiona, amazing kase andun ang whole cast even the 3 lil'piggies hehehe

The funny part is, we saw Dracula @ Universal Studio, at syemfreh mega pa pix naman ako but it turned out he's a Filipino lol grabe bigla ba namang ngtagalog! Ayan, after ng pix naming 2 bigla ba naman akong natrap sa cape nya sus me tantanan nga huh lol

My first and last adventure lol haha, ok when we arrived we decided to checkout House of Horror, so I decided to join them why net it doesn't look like scary naman aba mali ang akala ko at tung house na mansion sus me ang haba grabe I was shouting and trembling talaga!

Oh pano folks, till my next entry I have to run and get hubby some Jamba ngrerequest eh lol Be right back! =)

We had fun exploring the foods at Salerno's, an Italian Resto located near our place. It's my first time to be there and I'm pretty excited to taste what they got. To start off:

Broccoli and cheese soup/plus some ceasar salad

They got Chicken Alfredo

I got some Grilled Shrimp, marinated in perfection w/bunch of herbs plus some pasta and eggplant on the side

This meal is the most amazing meal ever lol, I love it! Very scrumptious! Even though they soaked it to a bowl of olive oil, who cares! Those herbs made a miracle on these jumbo shrimps lol because they're heavenly delicious! Our meal taste really good, can't complaint about it. Then here's what we got for dessert:

Look how fancy this one? lol, It's like cream puff since it has flan inside forgot what it's called though...

And of course, last but not the least my old time favorite, their homemade " cremebrulee "

I really enjoy exploring new delicacies, hehe parang show davah? Hopping to different places just to try out some new stuffs lol, it's fun! The price is reasonable enough for all the foods that we got. We love exploring good foods around the metro!

It's been few weeks now that me and hubby, been hanging out every Friday night @ Z Bar, order few drinks then watch hockey at the same time. It's a bar and grill, a cool place to hangout! They also offer live band during Saturday night, and it was jam packed most of the time. Last night, Hubby got there first since I'm such a couch potato, M's friend came to visit for an hour so we got the chance to chit-chat for a bit.

The place is loaded and you can't even talk since it's loud but me and hubby got the chance to chillax though despite of the loud noises, since we have our own lil'world. Then all of a sudden there's these 3 girls who arrived at the bar around 9:45, shouting and laughing obviously they're one of those " wild girls " who loves to have attention. They where playing R&B music and they're the only one dancing at the bar, one girl is just shaking her booty in the chair everybody's eye's are glued on her lol, I can't helped but stare because I've never seen somebody did that haha! It was funny though, because they keep on shouting at each other while they're talking! If you'll notice at the pix, I'm talking about the 2 girls sitting in the bar. I got the chance to take some pics when they are most behaved lol. Then as time goes by, they got drunk and they have to carry the other one back out lol it's funny because she keeps on falling down on her seat. We're just praying that W & M, will not be this wild when they grow old lol...

While watching the game me and hubby enjoyed our ...

Queso Dip

After few glass of frozen margarita, we ended up ordering some heavenly dessert:

Four Layered Brownie with whip cream & ice cream on top

I went home earlier since I'm too tired plus I have work this morning, I'd rather sleep than stay late unless I don't have work it's fine with me. To be honest I'm cranky when I don't get enough sleep lmao.

I don't really like watching him during practice since we have to ease the cold lol, we usually bring a blankie to keep us warm. I took a video and here's what W doing with us lmao:

video

It's hilarious because he keep on hitting the glass with his puck, so I asked him if he's trying to kill us lol, I even provoked him but M, said that don't because he's gonna be pissed hahaha!

We went to the Dallas Auto Show at the Dallas Convention Center yesterday, the kids had a blast. It's my first time to attend this kind of event and I find it very interesting since I've been seeing different types of cars. My kiddos enjoyed it most since they got the chance to see the 2 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, I was surprised to see them there but Ford made it possible since they came up with a Dallas Cowboys Car, so if you're a die hard fan this is the perfect one for you.

The new Mustang, I forgot what it's called but this is what W, dreaming of lol we're talking about a $35,000 for this precious toy!

The Lincoln MKT 2009 Model - grabe my stainless ang seat nito lol kakatkot kung tamaan ka ng kidlat jk!

The new Audi I forgot the name lol sa dami

The new BMW

The new VW Passat Wagon, M's driving it lol. They also feature the new VW Tiguan, which is coming out 2 weeks from now so me n' hubby are very excited! This is a smaller version of a Touraeg, the base model cost $ 25,000 which is not bad but if you want the lux edition we're talking about a whooping $ 35,000 - 45,000 grand, whoa!

Here's the funny one, I dunno if this is a big jk or what. They call it Smart Cars! A very small car, it looks like a toy to me they said it's safe but heck if a muscle truck just drive straight to me, I'm not sure what's my chances of survival using this itty-bitty car! When I saw this car, it reminds of the cart that you use in the grocery when you have a baby lol.

Here's some more highlights:

Then after work I went to the mall to buy some spring shorts went home took a shower then hubby arrived we are all ready to go to Plano since we're gonna watch Owen Temple, his a musician here in Tx, my family loves him since they've seen him gajilion times before I arrived hehe have all his cd and so on. We're 15 mins late but it's fine since his the last performer in Love & War in Texas. Owen, basically write real life stories in his song that's why it's very interesting.

I love this Bar-Resto located in Plano because you can eat in the patio and play the washer toss. We ordered pretty good meals out there, it's my first time to be there and I find it really cool.

Three or Two days ago we had a storm, tornado and hale. Everybody got the chance to recuperate after that harsh weather. I'm scared because we have to shutdown our office because the tornado just touched down to our area, the siren keeps on going on and on.. It's my second time to encounter tornadoes here in the States and I hate it, it's worst than our super bagyo in pee-eye lol.

After several days it was beautiful and sunny outside we don't even have any problems at all until yesterday around 3am while everybody is asleep, mother nature put her curse again loud noises is everywhere sounds like somebody's throwing stones in each and everyone's roof. Hubby peeked at the window and he saw tons of hale that looks like m & m's because of their sizes. We all got scared even the kids ran to our bedroom especially M, since she was traumatized due to the last tornado that hit us. The siren went on to notify all the people in the area about this severe weather.

We can't go back to sleep after that, it lasted for about 30 mins and we are all still scared because you'll never know what's gonna happen anything can get into worst. Then finally it stopped, so me and M went outside and we got this:

We all slept around 4am and took me a while to get back to sleep since my whole body system is awake lol. M, have to sleep with us since she was scared, in fact she started crying again but we have to comfort her that it's NOT A BIG DEAL!!! Kuno just to make her feel secured. I went to work at 730am this morning and I'm so tired lol, well all of us our in work are tired since we all did not get enough sleep *sigh*

Today we had our brunch at my father-in-laws house in Addison. The rest of the family is there except for his gf hehe since she was in Cali for 2 weeks. All the food he served was homemade one good thing about hubbys family they don't believe in fastfood that much they usually make they're own which I really enjoyed with. We all sat in the breakfast nook beside his deck and everybody is chit-chatting.

We had some:

Roasted Potatoes with bacon

Crumpets ( which I really like especially when I put tons of butter on it )

Grits with Shrimps

Fruit Salad

Lemon Cake for dessert

The food was scrumptious everybody loves it. We even have our own take out hehe for dinner tonight. My father in law is a very good cook and so as the rest of his family.

A Tag from: Mel

While visiting Mel's blog I saw one of her post about what's in her library, and I would like to do a tag about on what we have hehe... Most of the books that I will feature is my hubby's books. I don't have much time to read since I'm working and lot's of errands to do when I get back home so very rare talaga unless it really interests me.

Anyways here's what we have, very few lang since I'm not really into books lol:

Here's one of hubby's finest collection his books by Gary Larson. I don't like this books because mabigat pa sa cat namin sus me but for just a quick recap Gary Larson is the creator of The Far Side, a single-panel comic strip which appeared in many newspapers for fourteen years. I'm amused on how he did his comic strip.

Hubby's books again about the Dallas Cowboys lol and the Texas Rangers. I'm telling you once these sports are on he have his own world.

My cookbooks Better Homes & Garden and Authentic Recipes from the Philippines, I usually read them once in a while since I want to showcase a lot of different filfoods to my family.

I hardly watch tv so I rely on this mag, browsing what's new and what's hot. I dunno how we got the subscription but they send us monthly edition of TV Guide.

We don't have much books here in our place, most of them are in our storage lol. Feel free to grab this tag if ever. Have a wonderful Thursday guys!

We put M in " Color Me Mine ", this Spring break she got the chance to do some artworks and pottery. At first she throws a feet when I told her will put her to Art camp she hate the idea at first but when she got the chance to finally experience it, she don't wanna go and end up attending her class everyday. Kids, these days are crazy lol! Here's some samples that she did during her art camp:

Her own plate with her name on it. She molded this one by herself so it's really cool. The paint will not come off easily and it's dishwasher safe so, yan po ang ginagamit nya ngaung plato lol

Here's some colored eggs. she molded and painted it by herself ulit. This is her gift to her grandpa on his birthday. Ang sweet dba? ITLOG!!! jk lol Well, actually I really admire her since she really put a lot of effort and patience for doing this.

She still have some crafts at the shop but I totally forgot about it today, I'll just get it tomorrow I believe she did that one for his dad on his birthday din.
